What is Weird Elephant?

Weird Elephant is fun twist on online shopping. When you purchase with us, we choose what you get. We will do our best to send demographically appropriate items, however it may just be the time we send the completely random waffle stencil or robot lamp you didn't know you needed. Weird Elephant is meant to be a fun alternative to buying things you 'need'.

Will you send me junk?

NO! We won't be scouring second hand stores or backwoods garage sales for stuff. Our creative shoppers are always looking out for fun and unique products that may come from local stores, warehouse overstock or maybe some random gift shop that we stumble upon. Our intent is to send stuff that 'someone' would find useful.

What if I don't like what you send?

Well, we have a no-return policy. In that case our mantra is to re-gift it. Like other elephant themed gift giving rituals, sometimes all the joy comes from being able to give an unsuspecting friend (or even stranger) an unexpected gift!

That being said, if we send you something and it's defective, let us know and we'll do what we can to make it right.

Is there a contract?

Nope. This is a single purchase platform. While we would love to create a recurring model, we just don't see a realistic value for you. On demand orders allow us to source the best products we can.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is included.

When is my first shipment?

Your shipment will be shipped within 5 days. We generally ship USPS but depending on shipping rates and the box size, we may choose another provider like UPS, FedEx, or DHL.

What's with the 'every 50th order' gift?

This is our way of showing appreciation for everyone's business. If your order is the next 50th shipment, we'll add a little extra love. It will most likely be a gift card but we may also have some really special products on hand. Our goal is to have a value of at least $50. (We have to pay tax on these things so we can't go too crazy :) )

How safe is my info?

We make every effort to secure your data. With plenty of 'data breaches' making the news we can't claim absolute security, but if there is even a hint of malicious data mining or a security breach, we will let you know ASAP.

Your payment information is handled by a third party (Stripe). We integrate with their payment system to keep your purchase as secure as possible. You can check out their security policies here.

Aside from potential 'hackers' that intercept your data, as it stands on our systems, we are constantly monitoring our systems for breaches and always maintaining the latest updates within our code.

If for some reason, you think your information has been compromised because of our site, please let us know right away so we can investigate.

Can I get tracking information?

Absolutely! When you log in and visit your account page, your latest order will include tracking information once your order is verified by our team. You can also view all your past orders from the account page.

Why hasn't my order shipped?

While we do our absolute best to validate and fulfill orders as soon as possible, there is a chance we are getting overwhelmed with orders. Please allow up to five (5) days for your order to ship. We expect to ship out much faster, but that is our minimum expected timeline. Either way, feel free to send us a message if you want to check up on it. Our system is pretty good at keeping track of orders, but there might be a super small chance your order slipped through the cracks. Either way, we'll take care of it for you.
